  • Blogger's Event!

Without reading the promotional items, or the CD, or the press release or whatever, I’m going to write about what I know and understood about the blogger’s event we went to today.

Geiser Maclang is this marketing company which held the event for Ayala Land Corporations (or Ayala something. We all know Ayala right?) Anywayyy, the event was for Celadon Residences Manila, beside SM San Lazaro. Since we lived near that place, T and I decided to go.

We looked at the model unit, and it was so nice! Especially the 4th floor/attic. It’s too expensive for us though, so boo. We also saw the swimming pool and the playground. I think that it would be so cool to live there because I’ve always wanted to live in a subdivision or village, or whatever. It’s too expensive though, oh well. After that, we were given Celadon Money for the bazaar (PICK Manila), which was near the clubhouse. Each blogger got P500 worth of Celadon Money and so we got to buy a lot of things!

We bought cakes and cookies and lots of food, and snacks (like siomai, and potato balls, and california maki, and dumplings, and churros with chocolate, and pasta, and suman, and lots more, hahaha) which we ate there, and I also tried this Italian Soda thing which was refreshing and reminded me of Shirley Temple. We also bought a glass chess set, because T wanted to. I wanted to buy the Sudoku board game, but the booth said they didn’t accept Celadon Money (at first), and in the end (when our money was about to run out), they suddenly told me that they were accepting Celadon Money. The money wasn’t enough for the Sudoku board game anymore. Aww.

Well, that’s it! Looking forward to other events like these. Next one is CPK’s (California Pizza Kitchen) Make Your Own Pizza event! Yayyy!

  • Aww.

Aww, I miss my Xanga but I still like my Wordpress. HAHAHA. Oh well. I'm not letting you go yet anyway. LJ I've let go of already. Hee. Okay, back to doing homework.
  • Pissed.

Stupid police and stupid law in the Philippines. I don’t get it. I mean, I’m sure we didn’t break any rules but the police pulled us over and then while D was trying to talk to him, he kept cutting D off and saying that we’re wasting his time (riiiight), and that we should just give him something. He kept saying “Are you gonna give? Are you gonna give?” over and over and over again. Stupid. Fucking stupid. What kind of police is that?! Then, he pulled over another car (who really did commit a violation) and upon seeing that a police officer was inside that car, he let the car go. What the fuck!? Just because you’re a police doesn’t give you the right to break the law. Whatever. Pfft. Stupid.

  • The internet is for...

Porn? Haha, if you've heard of Avenue Q, then you probably know this song.

I was lucky enough to win a ticket to the June 17th show in their farewell run. I watched it with my sister while my mom and her friend went shopping at a nearby mall.

The play was good. There were some parts which I thought to be boring, but over-all it was good.

I especially liked the part where they sang "Mix Tape" and "You Can Be as Loud as the Hell You Want (When You're Makin' Love)" and I got teary-eyed with the song "There's a Fine Fine Line"

I liked the character of Gary Coleman the most because of the actor who played his character (Aiza Seguerra). I love her voice and her acting.

I also liked the actor who played Princeton -- he's hot! Hahaha!

Well, that's it. Oh yeah, after the show, we bought a shirt and a pin! Also, we saw Aiza Seguerra and took a picture with her! Yay!

  • David & Goliath.

We (H, B, T, J, L) went to Magnet Cafe at Serendra for the David & Goliath media launch. A lot of bloggers were there and I even saw familiar faces! Yay. The event was hosted by Gabe Mercado and SPIT (Silly People Improv Theater) people [special mention: Kenneth. I think he was really talented and funny too. The one playing the organ/piano was also good!] They were really great hosts, that I can say. They made everyone laugh and they made the night fun for us.

When we got there, the first thing we did was to take pictures at the Fotoloco booth. Then, we registered and got this folder which contained basic information about David & Goliath, and the Little Losers. When we got inside, it was already time to eat so we fell in line. The food was delicious, although the pasta noodle was not "al dente." Haha. I can't really describe how it was. The dessert was delicious!

After the "ice breaker", we played charades. H, B, J, T, and I formed 1 team and luckily, we won! So we got prizes! After that, there was another game and then they awarded (gave away) prizes to other people.

We left after that because H had to go home supposedly to study for his exam but we got home late so I'm guessing he's already asleep by now and he's just going to wake up later to study. (see previous entry for details on the way home)

I wanted to have a caricature of me done, but there wasn't time so... Maybe next time.

We were given really cool loot bags with lots of cool stuff before we left the venue. Yay!

Before leaving Serendra, we passed by the David & Goliath store to look at shirts. We were supposed to buy shirts, but then H was in a hurry so we decided to leave.

Over-all, I think the event was a success because we had fun and we got to know more about David & Goliath and the Little Losers.

Hoping for other events like this. Haha!

5 things about David & Goliath (from the press kit):

    1. David & Goliath is an American clothing company founded in 2000 by Todd Goldman.
    2. Todd Goldman's company was named after his father (David) and his dog (Goliath).
    3. The brand is noted for printing slogans and quotes with accompanying images that highlight tongue-in-cheek humor and are meant to make people laugh.
    4. David & Goliath is available in over 3, 500 retail outlets worldwide and their website is: www.davidandgoliathtees.com
    5. The collection is now available at David & Goliath stores located at Bonifacio High Street, Powerplant Mall, TriNoma, Robinsons Place Manila Midtown, Greenbelt 5 and Rustan's Makati.

3 things about the Little Losers (from the press kit):

    1. Little Losers are a collection of graphic misfits that pay tribute to character stereotypes, which still stay true to David & Goliath's acerbic sense of humor.
    2. The collection features 57 characters (21 are currently available in the stores).
    3. The Little Losers are available in adults' tees for both Chicks and Dudes at Php995 each.

  • Moving.

Remember when I said I created a new blog? Well, I'm moving there. I don't know for how long though, maybe permanently? I like it better there. Haha. Still thinking about this though, but for now, I'm staying there.

Anyway, if you're interested in "moving" with me, just message me for the link. :)
  • Everything's a blur.

Why is everything suddenly a mess? I thought things were going well, but I guess it was just another one of those illusions I often seem to have. I thought this was a good thing, but it’s turning out to be just the opposite.

    When will I learn?

I don’t need this in my life right now. I’ve already got other things bothering me and I really don’t need you, you, and you, to bother me.
